Acts of Love Can Be a Matter of Perspective
Krista Beavers

Hi there, friend! February is the month of love, which can look vastly different depending on your perspective. I mean, there's all sorts of love ... romantic love, familial love, spiritual love, friendly love, neighborly love, etc.

In fact, and not surprisingly, flower design and delivery service FTD identifies 8 different types of love on their blog (you can read the article here if you'd like).

And just like the different types of love, acts of love can also take different forms. For example, firing an employee who isn't the right fit for your company may be an act of love when you consider that in letting them go, you're giving them the chance to find something better suited to them as well as opening the opportunity to someone else better suited to working for you.

With the right perspective, the same principle applies when a client or customer leaves. Instead of looking at it as a loss, consider it an act of love in freeing up your schedule so that you can serve others who you're meant to serve.

Now, I'm not suggesting that you go out and fire all your employees or cut off all your customers. What I am suggesting is that we don't need to be afraid of things that may traditionally be looked at as negative.

I'm suggesting that you always keep an open mind and evaluate your perspective. I also want to encourage you, in this month of love, to remember to show love and compassion to yourself. Because you, too, deserve all the love you regularly show others.

SUCCESS TIP OF THE MONTH

When things start to become tedious, take a step back and gain perspective on what really matters for your business. Try something new, take new risks, push yourself out of your comfort zone.

Everyone knows that having a team is essential for success in business and life. But sometimes it’s easy to get tunnel vision, especially when you’re busy making daily decisions and executing plans day after day. I know I have been there!

When things start to become tedious, take a step back and gain perspective on what really matters for your business. It pays to take the time to receive fresh perspectives — it’s an investment in our success!

So, try something new, and don’t be afraid to take new risks. It might be time to push yourself out of the comfort zone.

Invite individuals into your life who inspire and challenge the way you think. These outside opinions can help sharpen your vision, provide clarity when you need it most, and allow you to see things from a new perspective. They may even answer the questions you didn’t even know you had.

So make sure not to let your business slip away from you. Embrace new ideas. Focus on the present but never lose sight of the potential ahead. Every decision you make can shape the future of your business.
